Since launching 18 months ago, Spectrum Technology’s products have focused entirely on the distillation stage of the process to turn cannabis, hemp and botanicals into end products, such as CBD oil and THC oil.
But all that’s about to change as, following successful negotiations with Canadian manufacturer, Maratek, Spectrum’s range of products are expanding to include post-extraction equipment.
Specialising in reducing, reusing and recycling solvents and industrial liquid waste, Maratek is an award-winning industry leader with a focus on developing and manufacturing high-quality, environmentally conscious products.
“We are extremely excited to be working with Spectrum Technology as we continue to grow our international presence”, said Kyle Georges – Vice President, Sales & Business Development at Maratek. “This partnership is built off strong core values; just like Maratek, Spectrum is bringing decades of solid industrial engineering and manufacturing experience from various mature and highly technological industries to the cannabis and hemp space. Their distillation systems are a key addition to our technology portfolio for EU GMP compliant solutions. Spectrum will also play a big role in providing a Western European base for sales, support, service and spare parts for our clients.”
Exciting new products
OERS-SC and C-Series of oil and ethanol recovery systems recover more than 99% of the ethanol, automatically reproof/dewater the ethanol and have an optional decarboxylation phase all within the same unit.
TAWS automatic winterisation systems enable automatic homogenisation, rapid winterisation, filtration, ethanol recovery, decarboxylation and heated oil storage in one streamlined process.
SRD fractional distillation systems are fully automated and increase extraction yields, reduce solvent costs and reproof up to 99.9% of ethanol.
The new partnership is in addition to the exclusive European distribution and manufacturing agreement already in place with US-based Chemtech Services, Inc., for its short-path and rolled-film distillation and ancillary equipment technology which is particularly suited to the hemp and medical cannabis industries, but it is equally effective for the distillation of other botanicals.
Commenting on Spectrum’s new working relationship with Maratek, Dr Roger Kimber, said, “Working alongside industry leaders such as Maratek and Chemtech is incredibly exciting for us as a business, and we’re delighted our customers will benefit from these amazing North American products with all the convenience of a UK-based supplier.
“Not only that, but our consultancy services and technical specialists will ensure customers’ technical requirements are met with the right equipment and scheduled preventative maintenance visits,” he concluded.
